Instructions
  1. Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder
  2. Add margarine and cut in with knife
  3. Add egg and enough milk to make a stiff dough
  4. Roll on a slightly floured board to 1/3 inch thickness, keeping in a rectangular shape
  5. Spread on the softened margarine and layer the chopped figs
  6. Roll up jelly-roll fashion
  7. Moisten the outside edges and press to seal all edges so the juice will not escape
  8. Place on a greased pan and bake 30-40 minutes at 325-350 degrees
  9. Cut into slices and serve hot with fig syrup sauce made by heating fig preserves thoroughly

Instructions
  1. Combine squash, onions and bell pepper; mix in salt and refrigerate overnight
  2. drain and rinse squash mixture and place in a non-aluminum pot with all remaining ingredients
  3. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes
  4. Refrigerate or seal in sterilized jars and process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes

Instructions
  1. Cream together crisco, margarine and sugars
  2. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together
  3. Separate eggs and beat yolks
  4. Add yolks to butter and sugar mixture and blend
  5. Add flavorings
  6. Add remaining ingredients, alternating flour and milk
  7. Last, fold in the beaten egg whites and bake in oiled tube pan for approximately 1 1/2 hours in a 325-degree oven

Instructions
  1. Line unpricked pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy duty foil
  2. Bake at 450 degrees for five minutes
  3. Remove foil and set shell aside
  4. Reduce heat to 375 degrees
  5. In a heavy saucepan, melt chocolate and butter
  6. Remove from the heat; stir in milk and water
  7. Add a small amount of hot chocolate mixture to eggs; return all to the pan
  8. Stir in vanilla and salt
  9. Pour into shell, sprinkle with nuts
  10. Cover edges with foil
  11. Bake for 35 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean
  12. Remove to wire rack to cool completely
  13. In a mixing bowl, beat milk and pudding mix until smooth
  14. Fold in whipped topping
  15. Spread over nut layer; cover and refrigerate
  16. In a mixing bowl, beat cream until soft peaks form
  17. Add sugar and vanilla, beating until stiff peaks form
  18. Spread over pudding layer
  19. Refrigerate until set

Instructions
  1. Salt and pepper chicken pieces
  2. Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and heat to blend
  3. Cool sauce
  4. Dip chicken pieces in sauce to coat thoroughly
  5. Place coated pieces in a foil lined pan and pour remaining sauce over chicken
  6. Carefully cover chicken with more foil and seal edges
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours
  8. Open foil the last 30 minutes to brown chicken, basting occasionally
  9. Hint: chicken may be marinaded in sauce overnight then transferred to a pan the next day
  10. If there is too much sauce, it can be cooked down first

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Cook noodles until tender
  3. Brown ground meat, then add diced onion and green pepper
  4. Cook until onion and pepper are tender
  5. Add tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce
  6. Stir and heat 1 minute
  7. Pour noodles into greased baking dish, top with cheese and bake for 30 minutes
