The primary purpose of the River Region Prayer Walk is to spiritually unite our community through prayer under the Lord our Banner, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to seek His favor, His protection, and the restoration of His people and His land. We will fortify our community as we pray over our cities, goverment leaders, schools and teachers, uniformed heroes and servants, pastors and ministry leaders, businesses, and all of the people that make up the River Region.

First, we will gather at the Union Station Train Shed for a praise concert and time of preparation for the walk. Next, we will walk a route through downtown Montgomery using guided prayer focused on the above-mentioned groups. For those who are unable to walk the route, there will be a time of corporate prayer at the train shed.

Finally, we will conclude the Prayer Walk at the train shed with a FREE concert led by Surviving The Fall, FREE hot dogs off the grill, and lots of fun fellowship!

The first 150 adults and 25 children to arrive the day of the event will receive a FREE T-shirt (sizes and quantities upon availability).

Additionally, this year we will be giving back to our community by partnering with Valiant Cross Academy to help provide much needed school supplies and uniforms for the boys. The Academy is a private school located in the heart of downtown Montgomery, Alabama, on Dexter Avenue in the old historic Dexter Avenue Methodist Church, now home to River City Church. Valiant Cross Academy is a school based on Christian principles with an intentional culture of structure and discipline.

Support Valiant Cross Academy, bring donations to the 5th Annual River Region Prayer Walk:

~ BOYS’ uniform khaki pants, white button-down or polo shirts, and belts (youth sizes needed – small-XL; adult sizes needed – small-large)
