The production, set in 1896, is based on Bram Stoker’s original Gothic novel. Count Dracula is a centuries-old vampire and Transylvanian nobleman who inhabits a crumbling castle in the Carpathian Mountains, and has purchased a home in London. He has three siren-like vampire women who serve him, and though the novel never names them, they are popularly known as “The Brides of Dracula.”
