The Autism Society of Alabama (ASA) in collaboration with the Special Education Consultants and Conference Organizers (SECCO) are hosting the 1st Annual “Autism: Unlocking the Mystery” Conference in Mobile, Alabama. This event will be held Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Goodwill Easter Seals of Gulf Coast from 8 a.m.–3:15 p.m. This conference is unique, in that it is designed to include parents, educators and anyone with a desire to learn more about autism and its comorbid components. Speakers will include Caroline Gomez, Ph.D- Alabama’s first State Autism Coordinator and currently serves on the Board of Directors with ASA, Bama Hager, Ph.D-Policy and Program Director of ASA, Anna McConnell, LCSW,MPH- Current Alabama State Autism Coordinator, Dustin Chandler- Promoter of Carly’s Law, Scott Parks- Project Outreach Gulf Coast and Shooting 2 Change, Corporal Kent Smith- Project Lifesaver/First Responders, Hanes Swingle, M.D: Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics and is on Boards of Directors for both ASA and Glenwood Autism and Behavioral Health Center in Birmingham AND others!
