The top Superbike racers in North America return to Barber Motorsports Park, June 10-12, for round six of the 2016 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship.
MotoAmerica features the country’s best motorcycle racers battling it out on the world’s fastest production-based motorcycles. The weekend will include two full days of racing—a doubleheader event—for the Superbike, Superstock 1000, Supersport, and Superstock 600 classes, plus vendors and fun for the whole family.
Barber will get the spec KTM RC 390 Cup, the second-year class open to riders aged 14-22. Fans will also be pleased to see a larger field of competitors in the Superbike and Superstock 1000 classes.
Barber Motorsports Park truly is a park. The racing facility located on the eastern fringes of Birmingham is green and pristine, the home of not only the 2.38-mile road course but also the “world’s largest motorcycle museum.”
Owned by George Barber, BMP is a spectator’s delight with grass-covered banks from which to view the action on the 17-turn track. BMP has hosted Superbike racing since it opened in 2003.
