The Southeast Alabama Medical Center Foundation will hold The Sandi McCool Champions of Hope breast cancer awareness health event Saturday, October 17th on the campus of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (84 East, Dothan, AL).
Since 2008 Champions of Hope has raised more than $735,000 in support of cancer services and programs at SAMC. Some programs supported through the event include the Southeast Regional Screening Program, the Lymphedema Program, breast cancer guidebooks and post-mastectomy care kits.
The Sandi McCool Champions of Hope 2015 promises to be a fun-filled day that will appeal to the entire family. The event will include a 5K/10K race, a Spirit Walk and the Kohl’s Kids Fit Challenge. The day’s activities will also include live radio broadcasts, food, drinks, and an opportunity to visit Champions Plaza where area merchants and exclusive Champions of Hope merchandise will be available.
The Spirit Walk and 5K fee is $25. Registration for the 10K race is $35. Registration fees include the 2015 event t-shirt.
There will be special recognition for the largest team, the team raising the most money, the individual raising the most money and the team with the best t-shirt design.
