  • 3 tablespoons ice-cold water

Instructions
  1. In a shallow 4-quart casserole dish stir together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg
  2. Lay bread slices in milk mixture
  3. Turn the bread over to coat both sides; allow to soak 2-3 minutes to absorb the milk mixture
  4. While the bread is soaking, melt the butter in a skillet or on a griddle
  5. Fry the bread on both sides until golden brown
  6. Place 2-3 slices of French toast on each plate; drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with pecans

For a Saturday morning treat my husband and I love to have this French toast for breakfast! You'll want to get out your fancy plates and stemware for this!

Instructions
  1. Pull off two 18-inch square layers aluminum foil
  2. Sprinkle chicken with sage, salt and pepper; top with dill sprigs
  3. Place each chicken breast and half the vegetables on each foil square
  4. Fold foil around the mixture and seal tightly
  5. Place on cookie sheet and bake about 45 to 50 minutes on 350 degrees or until the chicken juices run clear and the vegetables are tender

  3. Divide half of the berries between two greased 10-ounce custard cups
  4. Top with batter and remaining berries

  6. Serve warm

  2. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly
  3. Bring to a boil and cook for at least one minute, stirring until it is a thick as you want
  4. Fold in the chicken, eggs and cooked vegetables if you have them and heat thoroughly
  5. Serve over toast, biscuits or cornbread with a tall glass of iced tea
