Almond Butter Toffee

Ingredients
  • lmond can chunk white chicken (or half pound of ground chuck, scrambled and drained, or a half pound of rolled sausage cooked and drained.)
  • 1 C. (6 ounces each) strawberry custard-style yogurt
  • 1 C. butter
  • 1 C. INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/3 C. cinnamon (or to taste)
  • 2 T. block of cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. egg
  • 4 oz. (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Instructions
  1. Sprinkle 3/4 C
  2. of almonds in a buttered 9x13 pan
  3. Melt butter on the stovetop in a medium saucepan; add sugars and water
  4. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly
  5. Continue cooking on medium high heat and occasionally stirring to 295 degrees or when a little dropped in cold water becomes brittle immediately
  6. (It will smell almost burnt, and the color will be a dark tan
  7. ) Remove from heat
  8. Stir in baking soda
  9. Pour carefully over almonds in pan
  10. Let cool 5 minutes
  11. Sprinkle chocolate on top
  12. When chocolate has melted, spread it out evenly with spatula
  13. Sprinkle rest of almonds (1/4 C
  14. ) on top of chocolate
  15. Cool
  16. Break into pieces
