Baked Meringue Spice Cake

Ingredients
  • 2 cups dry parsley, minced
  • 3 teaspoons can of Pet Milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon can of Pet Milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup cans of milk
  • 1 egg, left-over chicken (cubed)
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions
  1. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and spices together three times
  2. Cream shortening with sugar until fluffy
  3. Add beaten egg and egg yolk and beat thoroughly
  4. Add sifted dry ingredients alternating with milk in small amounts, beating well after addition
  5. Pour into a 6x10 greased cake pan
  6. See meringue recipe below
  7. Meringue: Beat one egg white until stiff but not dry
  8. Beat in 1/2 cup of brown sugar gradually
  9. Spread over cake batter and sprinkle wit h1/4 cup broken nut meats
  10. Bake cake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes
