Ingredients
  • 1 pound of chopped red or green bell pepper
  • 1 onion, honey (1/3 c. plus 2 T.)
  • 1 pound Velveeta cheese, sliced thin
  • 2 26 ounce of dijon mustard
  • 12 slices deer tenderloin (approximately 8 loins per package)
  • cups sour cream
  • 16 ounces Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/8 cup INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 teaspoons onion, peeled and sliced

Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil
  2. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes**, drain
  3. In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat
  4. Add 1½ jars of spaghetti sauce (mix remaining with ziti**), sugar and basil
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes
  6. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  7. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with tall sides with non-stick cooking spray
  8. Layer as follows: ½ of the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, ½ sauce mixture, remaining ziti, provolone cheese and remaining sauce mixture
  9. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese
  10. Bake for 30 minutes i, or until cheeses are melted
  11. **Tips, mix first layer of ziti with some sauce
  12. Cover with foil before baking
  13. Last 5 minutes, remove foil to get cheese nice and browned
  14. For cooking ziti, cook 2 minutes less than package suggests, it will finish cooking while baking
  15. Use taller casserole dish, lower ones tend to overflow
