Cornbread Dressing

Ingredients
  • 1 cup finely shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cream of celery soup
  • 4 cups cream of celery
  • 2 cups simmer on stove for 30 minutes.
  • 4 eggs, deep-dish pie crust
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 can the Cabbage:
  • 2 teaspoons cream of mushroom
  • 4 cups scalded canned milk

Instructions
  1. Saute onions and celery in margarine in a small skillet until the onions are soft
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  3. In a large mixing bowl combine onions and celery with the cornbread and biscuit crumbs, beaten and hard-boiled eggs, cream of chicken soup, and sage
  4. Mix well
  5. Add the chicken broth and mix well again
  6. Pour into a greased casserole or baking dish
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown
