Jalapeno Popper Pasta

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces toasted slivered almonds
  • Garlic chopped Fred herb: rosemary, thyme, parsley
  • 1/4 cup ducks with salt and pepper.
  • 1 tsp clove, minced
  • 1 medimun green onion, sliced
  • pinch salt
  • sauce:
  • 1 tblsp sugar (for dusting) or desired frosting (all optional)
  • 1 cup bacon thin sliced
  • 2 cloves drained and rinsed dark red kidney beans (from one 15-ounce can)
  • 2 large squeezed lemon
  • to 10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 6 ounces grated sharp Cheddar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup Monterey jack cheese
  • 1 tsp red pepper
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 large onion, grated

Instructions

  2. COOK PASTA: Cook pasta according to package directions to al dente
  3. Drain and set aside

  5. MAKE BREADCRUMBS: Heat oil in a medium, nonstick skillet and add breadcrumbs and (1 clove) minced garlic
  6. Stir frequently until breadcrumbs begin to brown and garlic is fragrant
  7. Add a pinch of salt, remove from heat and set aside

  9. MAKE SAUCE: In a large saute pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat
  10. Add onion and cook for about 5 minutes
  11. Add peppers and cook for 3 minutes, or until onion and peppers are softened
  12. Add garlic during the last minute, cooking until fragrant

  14. Reduce heat to medium and add cream cheese to onion mixture
  15. Stir until melted
  16. Add milk, stirring until incorporated
  17. Add cheese and chili powder and stir until melted and smooth

  19. PUT IT TOGETHER: Remove sauce from heat
  20. Add cooked pasta to sauce and toss until combined
  21. Add salt and pepper to taste

  23. SERVE: Sprinkle with 1 heaping tablespoon of garlic breadcrumbs
  24. Top with jalapeño rings for garnish (optional)
  25. NOTE:Remove the veins and seeds for a milder taste or leave them for a spicier taste
