Ingredients
  • 1 lb. diced yellow onion
  • 1/2 c. cracker crust
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 c. large chicken breasts
  • 6 oz. veggies diced, onion, carrot, potato, corn, green beans. (about two and a half cups worth in total)
  • 1 c. pie crust (homemade is best)
  • c. 9inch pie crusts (homemade is best)
  • Dash Polish sausage
  • Grated bacon

Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, brown beef with onion, garlic, and salt
  2. Stir in spaghetti sauce; simmer until heated
  3. Remove 1 cup of meat sauce and set aside
  4. Stir cooked noodles into the remaining sauce
  5. Place half of the noodle-sauce mixture in a greased 2 qt
  6. casserole dish
  7. Cover with cottage cheese and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
  8. Add remaining noodle-sauce mixture
  9. Top with 1 cup of reserved meat sauce and remaining mozzarella cheese
  10. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese
  11. Cover and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes
  12. Let stand 5 minutes before serving
  13. YIELD: 6-8 servings
