Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 1/2 cups Bisquick
  • 3 teaspoons can of Pet Milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 egg baking powder (We use sodium free Hain Featherweight baking powder.)
  • 1/3 cup INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grated cheese
  • 5 egg Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 cup INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 stick early peas, drained and washed
  • 2 lemons, package sliced fresh mushroom

Instructions
  1. Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together three times
  3. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk
  4. Beat after each addition until smooth
  5. Beat egg whites until foamy
  6. Add 1/3 cup sugar gradually beating, only until meringue will hold up in points
  7. Fold into batter
  8. Add vanilla
  9. Bake in three paper-lined cake pans at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done
  10. filling: Cook in double boiler
  11. Mix egg yolks, egg, sugar, oleo and lemon juice in top of a double boiler
  12. Cook until thick, stirring occasionally
  13. Add lemon rind
  14. Place in between and on top of cake layers
