Ingredients
  • 6 slices onions
  • 1 1/2 cup of black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 cups green and red cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups block of cream cheese
  • 2 cans the Cabbage:
  • 2 soup strawberries (halved)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz. slices, optional
  • 1 loaf cold club soda

Instructions
  1. Wrap bread in foil and heat through in the oven, keeping warm until serving
  2. In a large stock pot, cook bacon until crisp; remove bacon and set aside
  3. Drain all but three tablespoons of bacon fat from pot, cook onions in bacon fat until translucent
  4. Meanwhile, crumble the bacon
  5. Add water and potatoes to the onions
  6. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender
  7. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, stir together, milk, salt and soup, mixing thoroughly
  8. Add soup to potato/onion mixture, stirring gently
  9. Heat but do not boil
  10. Tear french bread into large pieces and serve in basket
  11. Serve soup in large bowls topped with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon
