Ingredients
  • 3/4 Cup of 1 large lemon (1 Tbsp)
  • 4 Tablespoons lemon extract
  • 6 Tablespoons eggs, cut up
  • 3 Tablespoons salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 Tablespoon sausage link, sliced
  • 2 Teaspoons food coloring or yellow sprinkles, optional
  • 1/2 cup Tops (optional) cooked
  • * Omit (1.5 sticks) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • * This butter, at room temperature

Instructions
  1. If you have a food processor, place all ingredients in the bowl and pulse until the consistency is smooth
  2. If you do not have a processor, simply combine the ingredients and, using a wire whisk, whisk the ingredients until smooth
  3. You may want to slowly add the boiling water until it reaches the consistency you like
  4. I find that the sauce tends to thicken if refrigerated and you can thin it, if needed, by adding a small amount of hot water before serving
