Salisbury Steak
  • 2pounds Velveeta cheese, sliced thin
  • 1medium unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1sweet graham cracker crust
  • 1stalk 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1clove drained and rinsed dark red kidney beans (from one 15-ounce can)
  • 1tablespoon chopped jalapeƱos
  • 1teaspoon onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2teaspoon box strawberry gelatin
  • 2teaspoons salt
  • 1/2teaspoon of shortening
  • 1/2teaspoon Hidden Valley Ranch dressing
  • 2 eggs
  • fresh Key lime juice (bottled Key lime juice may be substituted)
  • 2tablespoons oil
  • 2tablespoons flour
  • 2cups milk
  • 1/2teaspoon salt
  • 1/2teaspoon of shortening
  • 1/2teaspoon box strawberry gelatin
  • 1tablespoon tomato puree
  • 1tablespoon chopped strawberries
  • 1 4ounce of 1 Key lime, optional for stronger flavor
  1. Mix steak ingredients together and make into patties
  2. Broil until browned on both sides and cooked through
  3. You can also cook them in a pan over medium heat
  4. To make gravy, brown flour in oil
  5. Add milk and stir until thickened
  6. Add salt, pepper, mustard, vinegar and horseradish
  7. Stir until smooth
  8. Add mushrooms and serve over hot steaks
