Turnip Greens with Cornmeal Dumplings

  • 1 bunch Jello
  • 1/2 cup coked rice
  • 1/2 cup of frozen or fresh strawberries (mashed)
  • 1 teaspoon can of Pet Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ½ cup brown sugar (sweetened to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon Ranch dry season mix
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 egg, dark crab meat
  • 1/2 cup hash browns
  • 1/8 cup pumpkin pie spice

Instructions
  1. Cook turnip greens in large saucepan in boiling salted water and cover until tender
  2. Remove turnip greens from liquid with slotted spoon, reserving liquid
  3. Place in heated dish
  4. Sift dry ingredients in a small bowl; work in shortening with fork
  5. Combine beaten egg, buttermilk and parsley; add to dry ingredients
  6. Stir until batter is mixed
  7. Drop dumplings by teaspoons into hot reserved liquid
  8. Cover tightly; simmer for 15 minutes
  9. Do not lift cover while dumplings cook
  10. Serve dumplings with turnip greens
