White Chocolate Delight Cake

4-ounces white chocolate, melted
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp salt
4 tsp soda
2 sticks butter
2 1/2 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cups evaporated milk
1 1/3 cups sugar
4 egg yolks
2/3 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cups coconut
1 1/3 cups chopped pecans
4-ounces white chocolate, melted
Buttercream Frosting:
1 box powdered sugar
1 stick butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
4-ounces white chocolate, melted
Evaporated milk, as needed
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Grease and flour three 9-inch pans. Melt chocolate and set aside to cool. Sift flour, salt and soda together. Beat butter until creamy; add sugar and beat 2-3 minutes. Add eggs and beat well. Beat in melted chocolate. Add flour mixture and cream alternately, starting and ending with flour. Stir in vanilla. Pour into pans and bake 1 hours, or until tester comes out clean. Cool completely and split layers.
Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks and butter in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat 12 minutes, stirring constantly. Add vanilla, coconut, nuts and chocolate. Remove from heat and stir till cool enough to spread on cooled cake layers.
Beat frosting ingredients together, adding milk 1 tablespoon at a time till of spreading consistency. Frost top and sides of cake.
