Sara's Barbecue Sauce

1-24 ounce bottle catsup
1/2 cup butter (or margarine)
1 3/4 cups sider vinegar
Juice of 2 lemons
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon baking soda
In a saucepan, mix catsup, butter, vinegar and lemon juice. Heat gently until butter is melted. Add remaining ingredients. Cook sauce awhile for everything to blend. May want to add additional catsup and lemon juice to taste. You can add 3 ounces of honey if "vinegar taste" is too strong. Yields about 5 1/2 cups. Can be used on ribs, chicken or pork chops. Keeps well in refrigerator.
