3 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 small onions, chopped
2 eggs
2/3 cup dry bread crumbs
3/4 cup mik
3/4 cup light cream
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 pound fresh mushrooms, coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in skillet and saute onions until golden brown. Remove from heat set aside. Beat eggs in a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Add bread crumbs, milk, cream, salt and pepper. Mix until liquid is absorbed. Carefully fold in mushrooms and onions. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until golden brown and set in center. Makes 6 large servings.
