Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 stick margarine, softened
2 eggs
2 egg whites
2 1/2 cup plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 cup orange juice
Vegetable cooking spray
Glaze:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
Directions
Cream sugar and margarine, beating at medium speed with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add eggs and egg whites and beat until well mixed. Stir together flour and baking powder. Add this to creamed mixture alternately with milk and orange juice, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix just until blended after each addition. Coat a 10-inch tube pan with vegetable cooking spray. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until tested done. While cake is baking, combine glaze ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over cake while it's till in the pan. Allow cake to cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to a serving plate to cool completely.
