Artichoke with Garlic Lemon Butter Sauce

8 whole artichokes
1 lemon, cut in half
1 cup water
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 cup Molly McButter Garlic Butter Dairy Sprinkles
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Trim stems of artichokes so they sit upright. Cut 1-inch off top of artichokes. Break off small, tough out leaves. Place artichokes stem side down in a stainless steel or enamel-coated pan. Squeeze juice from lemon over them. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30 to 45 minutes or until bottom is tender and leaves pull off easily. Remove from pan and drain upside down in rack or colander. To prepare sauce, whisk together water and cornstarch in a 2-cup measuring cup. Microwave on high for 1 minute and stir. Continue to microwave on high for 45 to 60 seconds or until bubbly. Whisk in sprinkles until dissolved. Stir in lemon juice, basil and pepper. Serve artichokes in individual plates with sauce for dipping.
