Ingredients
3 tablespoons cocoa
4 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1/4 cup Karo syrup
2 egg yolks, well beaten
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 baked pie crust
Directions
Mix cocoa, cornstarch, sugar and salt in a large saucepan. Slowly blend in milk and syrup, breaking up lumps. Add egg yolks. Cook over medium heat until it thickens. Remove from heat and blend in butter and vanilla. Pour into the baked pie crust. Refrigerate until set. Top with meringue or frozen whipped topping.
