Strawberry Parade Cake

1 boxed white cake mix
4 eggs
1 cup chopped strawberries
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 small box strawberry gelatin
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded coconut
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon strawberry extract
3 to 4 tablespoons milk
Mix cake ingredients together and beat for 3 minutes. Pour batter into 3 greased and floured round cake pans. Bake layers at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes or until tested done. To prepare frosting, cream 1/3 sugar with butter and salt in a large bowl. Blend extract, 2 tablespoons milk and remaining sugar into frosting. Gradually stir in remaining milk until you get the desired spreading consistency. Frost cooled caked.
