1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2-2 1/2 c. peanuts
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
about 3 Tbsp. milk
Sift flour & baking powder in small bowl. Heat the milk. Add butter to milk; keep hot. Beat eggs in large bowl till thick & lemon-colored. Add sugar gradually to eggs, beating very well. Quickly add dry ingredients. Stir just till blended. Stir in hot milk mixture & vanilla. Pour into an 8x11 1/2-inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 min. When cool, cut into 24 pieces. Freeze well. Grind peanuts. Put powdered sugar & vanilla in a bowl. Add milk a little at a time until thin enough to spread. Take about 12 cake pieces out of the freezer. With a knife, spread frosting on all sides of each cake piece. Pat peanuts on with a fork or hands & refrigerate. Do the same with the rest.
