SWEET AND NUTTY BREAD PUDDING/ WHISKEY SAUCE

1 loaf of itallian bread (stale)
6 eggs
1 cup Milk
2 cups of sugar
1 cup walnuts (chopped)
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp of vanilla flavoring

MAPLE WHISKEY SAUCE

1 egg
1/4 cup whiskey
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 stick butter (melted)
1/3 maple syrup
1 Tbsp vanilla flavoring
Directions
Cut bread into cubes, allow bread time to stale.. While waiting for
the bread, in a large mixing bowl, whisk in eggs, combine sugar, add
milk, syrup, and vanilla flavoring. After it all has been mixed together, pour mixture over bread stirring carefully. Take a handful
of walnuts and raisins drop into bowl stirring gently.. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish, top with remaining walnuts and raisins.
Bake for 35-40 minutes on 365 degrees. In a medium sauce pan on low heat add sugar, melted butter, and egg stirring lightly, add
whiskey.Stir sauce as it gets hot add in vanilla flavoring and maple syrup Bake for 35-40 minutes on 365 degrees.. After bread pudding has been removed from oven, take whiskey sauce and pour gently over it.serve warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream

I would always watch the tv show chopped, and the go to dessert was always bread pudding so I decided to try it out with my own spin. Now its my go to dessert.. I Love the whiskey sauce.
