1 head cabbage, chopped
1 package Polish sausage, half-inch slices
1 medium onion, diced
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 cups water
½ teaspoon salt and pepper
Heat a 12-inch Dutch oven over open fire. Chop cabbage, cut sausage in half-inch slices, dice onion and add to pot with bouillon cubes, water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serves 6 to 8.
