Strawberry Cornbread Cake

2 1/3 cups milk
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
2 1/2 cups cornmeal
6 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 package strawberries
1 package strawberry extract
1 stick butter
Mix all ingredients, except strawberries and butter, together and place in medium to large baking pan. Preheat oven to 425-450 degrees; cook 25 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned and remove from oven. Melt butter over low heat; pour over bread and let set for 10 minutes. Cut strawberries into halves and place on top of bread, then serve.
