Ingredients
1 cup granulated cornmeal
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
Pinch of salt
Directions
Make a paste of cornmeal and cold water, stirring until there are no lumps and pour gradually into the boiling water which as been salted. Stir until very thick. Place in a double boiler and cook from two to three hours, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Serve hot with sugar and milk, or as desired.
