Drain canned fruits such as peaches, apricots, pineapples and cherries. Cook in heavy syrup of one cup sugar to 1/3 cup water for several minutes. Coat thickly with additional sugar. Spread on paper towels inside pans. Dry in a warm place for several hours. You can put them in a warm oven before eating if desired.
