Cream of Black Eye Pea Soup

2 cups cooked black eye peas
2 medium sliced potatoes
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups warm milk
`/2 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook potatoes in slated water until tender. Sauté onions in butter. Stir in broth and milk. Puree peas and potatoes in blender. Mix purees and broth-milk mixture. Stir with wire whisk. Add cream until soup is a pleasing consistency. Add salt and pepper. Garnish with whole black eye peas and spinach leaves. Serves four.
