1 large chicken fryer
1 stick margarine, melted
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups self rising meal
1 1/2 cups self rising flour
3/4 cup buttermilk
3/4 cups chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion
2 1/2 tablespoons oil
Sage, salt and black pepper to taste
For the breading, mix together meal, flour, buttermilk, eggs, celery and onion. In a large skillet, heat oil. Pour ingredients into skillet and cook in a pre-heated oven at 475 degrees until done. When done crumble bread into a crock pot. Boil chicken and debone, reserving broth. To deboned chicken, add soup (with one can wage) and broth. Add all this to crumbled bread. Add the seasonings to taste. Cook in the crock pot on high for three hours, then on low for three hours.
