Ingredients
1 slice center-cut smoked ham, 1-inch thick and about 2 1/2 pounds
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 medium apples, cored
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Pepper to taste
Directions
Place ham in a 9x13 baking dish. Rub with mustard and sprinkle with brown sugar. Slice apples into 3/4-inch slices. Place slices in a single layer over ham. Dot with butter and sprinkle with pepper. Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until apples are tender.
