Ingredients
2 cups milk, scalded
5 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
3 eggs
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
Directions
Beat eggs until yolks and whites are blended. Add sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla flavoring. Mix thoroughly. Add scalded milk slowly, stirring constantly. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan. Bake in a hot oven (425 degrees) until an inserted knife comes out clean.
