Ingredients
1 package yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 stick butter
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup oil
2 1/2 to 3 cups
Self-rising flour
Directions
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Melt butter in a 9x13 baking dish. Mix buttermilk, sugar and oil. Mix yeast into this mixture. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Pour dough onto floured board. Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut out rolls with a round cutter or glass. Place rolls in baking dish and let rise 1 hour but not more than 3. Bake at 425 degrees until golden brown. Makes 2 dozen rolls.
