1 German chocolate cake mix
1 can evaporated milk
1 bag (12 ounces) Kraft caramels
1 bag (12 ounces) chocolate chips
Prepare cake mix according to box interactions. Generously grease a 9x13 baking pan. Pour 1/3 of the cake batter into the pan. Bake for 10 minutes at temperature recommended on box instructions. While cake is baking melt caramels in a saucepan with 1/2 the can of milk. Remove cake from oven. Pour caramel mixture over hot cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of caramel. Pour remaining batter evenly over the top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until top layer done. Let cool completely and cut into shares. Makes between 30-36 squares.
