1 stick margarine
2 pounds pork sausage
1 pound Velveeta cheese, cut in chunks
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 16-ounce jar picante sauce
1 or 2 dashes chili powder
6 to 8 drops Tabasco sauce
1 jalapeƱo pepper, chopped (optional)
Heat empty crockpot. Place margarine in pot and melt. Crumble sausage in a large skillet and cook until browned. Drain and keep warm. Place cheese in a microwave bowl and melt. Pour all ingredients into the crockpot. Cook on low for 20 to 30 minutes or until very hot and cheese is thinned.Serve with tortilla chips, refried beans, scrambled eggs or just as a dip.
