Frozen Pumpkin Pie

2 quarts vanilla ice cream
4 crumb pie crusts (recipe follows)
1 cup whipping cream
1 large can pumpkin pie mix
1 cup pecan pieces
Soften half the ice cream and spread evenly in the bottom of the pie crusts and freeze. Fold whipping cream into pumpkin pie mix. Spread this over frozen pie shells and freeze. Soften remaining ice cream and spread over top of frozen pumpkin. Top with pecan pieces and freeze pies. Wrap and seal tightly. These pies will keep 1 month. Remove from freezer a few minutes before serving.
