|Not Your Ordinary Chili|

|1 1/2 lg ground meat
1/2 package Connecha sausage (thinly sliced)
2 med onions
2 green bellpeppers
2 cans New Orleans style beans (drained)
1 lg can diced tomatoes
1 reg can diced tomatoes
2 cans Mexican rotelle
12-16 oz black bean & corn salsa
1 can shoepeg corn (drained)
2 pk French's Original Chili Mix
Water as needed
|Open & pour all canned ingredients into crockpot (drain those indicated) add chili mix. Stir until well mixed.
Brown & drain ground meat. Add to crockpot mixture.
Small chunk onions & bellpeppers, sauté in 2 Tbsp olive oil until onions are opaque (do not drain). Add to chili mixture.
Thin slice Connecha sausage & add to chili.
Add water as needed for consistency.
Cook for several hours to blend flavors.
This has become our Alabama Football tailgate party favorite food. We top our bowls of chili with shredded cheddar cheese & eat with saline crackers.
