Ingredients
2 or 3 lbs cubed venison
2 cups cranberry juice
2 cups milk
self-rising flour
vegetable oil
salt and pepper
Directions
Combine cranberry juice and milk in a large bowl. Add cubed venison to the liquid mixture and let soak for about one hour. Remove venison and dredge in self-rising flour. Place floured venison in a skillet with hot vegetable oil and fry on both sides. Salt and pepper to taste as venison cooks.
Cook's note: This recipe was my Daddy's who loved to deer hunt even until the age of his early eighties!
