Ingredients
1 cup oatmeal
6 tablespoons margarine
4 teaspoons salt
2 cups boiling water
2 packages dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup honey or dark corn syrup
1 1/2 cup warm milk
9-10 cups whole wheat flour
Directions
In a large mixing bowl pour boiling water over; 1 cup oatmeal, 6 tablespoon margarine, 4 teaspoons salt. Cover and let set about 20 minutes. In separate bowl mix 2 packages yeast and 1/2 cup warm water. Let set about 20 minutes. In separate bowl mix 2 packages yeast and 1/2 cup warm water. Let set about 20 minutes. Add the yeast mixture to the above ingredients. Add 1 1/2 cup warm milk and mix. Mixing after each addition, add 2 cups flour until approximately 9-10 cups have been added and dough is easy to handle, not sticky. Place in greased bowl, cover with a cloth and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and knead 5-8 minuets. Shape into loaves and let rise until double in bulk. Bake at 350 degrees, 30-35 minutes or until loaves "thump hollow". After first 15-20 minutes of baking, cover with foil to prevent over browning. Makes 5 one pound loaves. Also makes good sandwich rolls.

This is a compilation of 'tinkering' with 2 recipes . The bread is soft, not usual with all whole wheat flour. Bread slices better if its turned upside down.
