|1 lb Conecuh sausage
2 cans cannelloni beans
2 cans Rotel tomatoes
48 ozs chicken broth
large bag frozen chopped turnips
|Slice sausage into 1/4 inch slices. Brown along with chopped onion. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer until the turnips are done. Add some Mrs. Dash if desired. This can be made with spicy sausage or hot Rotel, but i usually make it with mild ingredients. Crispy cornbread is delicious with this soup.
This is a pretty soup...red and green and white. I made it for a chili contest for Relay for Life...called it "Swamp chili" and everyone loved it!
