Peanut Butter Sticks

1 king-sized loaf white thin-sliced bread
1 (12 oz.) jar smooth peanut butter
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 cups Frosted Flakes, crumbled
Trim crust from bread. Cut slices into 5-6 strips. Place on a cookie sheet and dry in oven at 200 degrees for 3 hours. Combine peanut butter and oil in top of double boiler. Heat until thoroughly blended and smooth. Remove from heat, but keep mixture over hot water. Drop a few sticks at a time into mixture, tossing lightly until coated. Remove sticks. Toss in Frosted Flakes crumbs. Place on waxed paper to dry. Store in heavy plastic bags or airtight tins. Yields 6 dozen.

Variation: Dry crusts of bread; process into bread crumbs in blender (about 3 cups crumbs). Add cinnamon and sugar to taste. Substitute for Frosted Flakes crumbs.
