|Aunt Lady's Corn Casserole|
|1 can (16 oz.) cream style corn
1 can (16 oz.) whole kernel corn (drained)
2 TBS flour
1 egg (beaten)
½ stick of butter
1/3 cup milk
Salt and pepper (to taste)
|Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix the corn, flour, egg, milk, salt and pepper.
Pour into a greased 8 x 8 Pyrex casserole dish
Pour ½ stick melted butter over top - do not stir.
Cook uncovered for 20 minutes.
Sir and cook another 35-45 minutes

|My sister, Adelaide Hays Houston, also known as "Aunt Lady" to her nieces and nephews brings this dish to every family gathering as it goes with any main dish and is always enjoyed by all. The first time she made it, she used the above ingredients as they were items she had on hand. She poured the butter over the top; the phone rang and she placed the casserole in the oven without stirring the butter. Later, she remembered the casserole and stirred the butter. The dish was such a hit, she has made it the same way ever since.|
