Celebrate the magic of the season at the Virginia Samford Theatre's (VST) inaugural Holidays on Highland Avenue! Immerse yourself in heartwarming productions and festivities beginning Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m. with VST’s tree lighting ceremony! Attendees can meet the cast members of the Holidays on Highland Avenue shows, enjoy free refreshments and get in the spirit with the lighting of VST’s Christmas tree.
With holiday productions like “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus” Dec. 7-16, “The Man Who Came to Dinner” Dec. 8-17 and “It’s a Wonderful Life: Live!” Dec. 21-24, VST is excited to welcome all of those on Highland Avenue and beyond to celebrate this holiday season. This very merry time will be especially filled with cheer as guests are invited to come to VST and take pictures with Santa on Dec. 9 and Dec. 16 after the 2:30 p.m. matinees of “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus.” Get your tickets now, create new family traditions and make this holiday season unforgettable!

“YES, VIRGINIA, THERE IS A SANTA CLAUS” (STARS)
Dates: Dec. 7-16, 2023 Join us for a heartwarming play inspired by the famous editorial. In 1897 New York City, young Virginia and a struggling newspaper editor find the true spirit of Christmas. A part of classic Christmas folklore, this play is part of the STARS series.
“THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER”
Dates: Dec. 8-17, 2023 Get into the holiday spirit with this mid-century comedy classic directed by David McMahon, featuring Birmingham's own comedians Murrell Wilkinson and Jan Hunter.
"IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: LIVE!"

Experience the timeless classic in a live radio broadcast setting by Ravenswood Radio Theatre. Immerse yourself in the 1944 broadcast of "It’s a Wonderful Life," featuring a stellar cast, vintage musical underscore and live foley sound effects that bring the entire town of Bedford Falls to life. Guests will experience the story of George Bailey as you've never experienced it before!
