Join Fort Payne Main Street and The City of Fort Payne as they celebrate the well-loved children's book character, Pete the Cat, and his creator, Fort Payne High School graduate, James Dean. There will be activities inside the Coal & Iron Building along with face painting, free art activities, story time, dance time and Pete the Cat himself! The Poppery will be there selling their delicious popcorn and Katherine’s will be there selling all things Pete the Cat! Most importantly, 100 free tickets will be given out at the door at the Coal & Iron Building starting at 9 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis to get one item signed by the author, James Dean.
