For over 50 years this volunteer-driven event has been a tradition on the beautiful beaches of coastal Alabama. Food, music, art, and so much more make up an action packed weekend with over 200,000 of friends, many of which you haven't yet met! This event that attracts visitors from many states and brings together every person in the region by giving them an opportunity to participate as a visitor, volunteer, vendor, contestant, performer, or sponsor. From a toddler that is a contestant in the Miss Shrimp Festival Pageant to the teenager that aspires to become a sand sculpture professional to the 80-year-old resident that volunteers to help sell Shrimp Festival merchandise, there is something for everyone. This festival celebrates art, food, music, and fellowship featuring hundred of vendors, cooks, servers, and musicians with a laid back vibe over four days overlooking the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
