"Holiday Wonders" is a magnificent melange of classically festive dance from Rockette-style musical theatre dance to high-flying classical pas de deux. Featuring Classical Ballet of Mobile students of all ages, "Holiday Wonders" specifically emphasizes excellence in classical ballet technique with excerpts from grand ballets including:
* The Sleeping Beauty
* Paquita
* The Nutcracker
The city of Mobile has not seen excerpts from Paquita since Winthrop Corey’s 1990 staging of its Grand Pas Classique.
It is the mission of Classical Ballet of Mobile to uphold time-honored dance traditions, but also introduce and educate our community about lesser-known and infrequently-produced ballets. Coupled with the presentation of gifts by the fairies of The Sleeping Beauty and the fan favorite The Nutcracker, this year's "Holiday Wonders" are sure to delight dance lovers of all ages.
