Mark your calendar for Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 for the Ninth Annual St. Paul’s Episcopal Chapel Speckled Trout Fishing Tournament. This year’s competition adds a Stauter-Built Boat Show to the tourney’s Weigh-In Party and Fish Fry at St. Paul’s in Magnolia Springs.
Tournament fishing begins at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5. The Weigh-In Party and Fish Fry runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. that day on the grounds of St. Paul’s Episcopal Chapel at 14755 Oak St., Magnolia Springs, Alabama. The party will include live music by Mitch Johnson, free fried mullet and sides, and a raffle of prizes ranging from artwork to outdoors equipment to restaurant gift cards to vacation stays.
Prizes for the 2022 tournament are: Speckled Trout –1st place $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $200; 1st place Slot Redfish– $200; 1st place White Trout–$200; 1st place Total Speck Weight–$200. Junior division winning anglers will receive merchandise prizes. Tournament weigh-in begins at 2 p.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m.
